Hand-knotted in the early 20th-century in Yahyalı, “Yıldızlı Geçit” (Starry Passage – Turkish) features a worn terracotta field anchored by a stepped hexagonal medallion, flanked by directional arrow-like motifs and a mihrab-style upper form. The layered borders are packed with symbolic geometric patterns, most notably the ram’s horn, symbolizing strength and fertility, alongside the angular hooked motifs and flora. Yıldızlı Geçit‘s earthy palette of terracotta, brown, muted indigo, and gold is softened by natural fading, lending the rug a weathered beauty.
